JHD Enterprises, LTD operates stores under the names basix and Lim’s.  As of November 2007 there are 14 basix and 8 Lim’s located in malls and 2 oulets located in strip centers.  We expect to have 40 stores in NC, VA and SC by the end of 2010. 

Basix and Lim’s both target the 18-25 customer who frequents the mall severaltimes a month.  Our customers mix urban, street and traditional brands.  Core brands include Lacoste (not in all locations) and Polo; urban brands include Coogi, Rocawear and Enyce and street brands include Ed Hardy and LRG.  The ratio of men’s to women’s is 75/25.  Shoes and infant clothes represent less than 10% of sales.  Although the overlap of merchandise between basix and Lim’s is over 80%, Lim’s inventory of higher priced labels run deeper than at basix.  Lim’s also brings in brands that may not have national exposure but because of its price point customers expect Lim’s to carry it.  There are three malls where a basix and Lim’s are close together.  Many customers do not know they are part of the same company.

Basix with its brighter interior and open space is designed to attract a more moderate price shopper.  Lim’s incorporate more expensive materials in store design and customer respond more favorably to higher end brands.  Color palette and materials used in the most current Demo stores are very similar to the Lim’s prototype of five years ago.  Insert pictures are of basix stores located in Lynnhaven Mall, Virginia Beach, VA and Four Seasons Town Center, Greensboro, NC.
